Should Liz Hurley go to Jail?
News just came out that Liz Hurley could be facing jail sentance of three years for not respecting cultural Hindu traditions and customs, during her nuptials in India to Arun Nayar. This event that took place in India was marely to make money from an OK! Magazine deal (a subject for another discussion), who was reportedly paid $3.9 Million for coverage in the magazine (British edition). A Jodhpur resident filed a petition with the court and Nayar’s father will support him, as he was treated as an outcast in the wedding. My opinions totally are for sueing them – they didnt respect any of the Hindu traditions. During the “ceremony” she wore leather sandels whilst sitting by the fire in the land of the holy cow, she sat on a sofa when she should have been on the floor and to top it all, they already had a Christian wedding in the UK and this was mere showcase for money.
Whats your opinion on this. Should she be imprisoned for not respected local traditions?
No, she shouldn’t. Going to jail for this is overkill don’t you think.
Besides, I am sure the local resident and Nayar’s father only want a hefty out-of-court settlement.
Liz made money with a magazine deal and these guys are trying to make some money off her.
